Couples therapy is a form of counselling designed to help partners improve their relationship and resolve conflicts. Through guided discussions, couples can gain insights into their communication patterns, emotional needs, and behavioral dynamics. Erin uses evidence-based approaches aimed to provide a safe space for both individuals to express their feelings and work towards understanding and support. Ultimately, the goal is to strengthen relationship and foster a deeper connection between partners.
Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is an evidence-based, short-term therapy that helps people process and resolve upsetting or traumatic memories. Using guided eye movements and visualization techniques, ART helps the brain reframe negative experiences, reduce emotional intensity, and create lasting relief. Many clients notice improvement in just a few sessions, making it a practical approach for anxiety, trauma, grief, and other challenging life experiences.
Before beginning ART, one 60-minute assessment and psychoeducation session is required to ensure the approach is a good fit and to help you feel prepared and supported in the process.
